XVI NLSIR Symposium: TWAIL Approaches to Jurisdiction [Volume 35(2)]




Introduction

The National Law School of India Review (NLSIR), in collaboration with the California International Law Center, UC Davis School of Law, is organising the XVI NLSIR Symposium on TWAIL Approaches to Jurisdiction. The Symposium is centred on the upcoming Volume 35(2) of the NLSIR, which responds to Prof. (Dr.) B.S. Chimni’s ‘The international law of jurisdiction: A TWAIL perspective’. About NLSIR

The NLSIR is the flagship student-edited law review published by the National Law School of India University (NLSIU), Bengaluru. It is a bi-annual, peer reviewed journal and holds the unique distinction of being cited thrice by the Supreme Court of India. It has also been cited by courts abroad, such as the High Court of South Africa.

About the XVI NLSIR Symposium

The Symposium is organised as an academic roundtable and will be conducted as a Zoom Webinar. It will feature participation from authors who have contributed pieces for Volume 35(2) and Prof. (Dr.) Chimni himself. The Symposium will be conducted between 8 p.m. and 10 p.m. (Indian Standard Time/GMT +5:30) on 24th and 25th April 2024.

Sessions will be moderated by Prof. (Dr.) Chimene Keitner (Martin Luther King Jr. Professor of Law, UC Davis School of Law) and Prof. Rohini Sen (Visiting Faculty, National Law School of India University, Bengaluru), who serve as Guest Editor and Advisor for Volume 35(2) respectively.
